IF: Parade

Didn't know what to do, so finally threw something together in five minutes. In every parade there is a firetruck.

IF: Contagious

My first idea for this week's word was a pig for swine flu, but obviously everyone thought the same thing. So what I have here is the English settlers giving the Native Americans smallpox. Smallpox was very contagious and wiped out many Native Americans. (I don't think this is how they actually gave it to them).

My idea for the Typo-Photo project was summer.

IF: Theater

I was having trouble thinking what to do for this word, but here's what I came up with. When I think of theater, I think of a stage or show. The World Cup is one of the biggest stages in sports, and when it came to putting on a show, Pele did. He won three out of the three World Cups he was in.

IF: Talisman

This week's word was talisman and when I first saw the word, I didn't know what it meant. By looking at I Friday, I noticed most of them were necklaces and when I searched the definition, it said item that brings luck. The item that I thought of was the medallion from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Typography

For this project, we were given a letter and had to pick a word that we didn't know and create our own font for the word. My letter was "j" and I chose Jojoba, which means a shrub or small tree. The top one is my italicized version. The second one is short and the same size throughout, like the definition. The last one I did because tree's trunks get skinnier as they get taller.

Digital Elements and Principles of Design

This is the digitalized version of my first webpost and project. I should have posted this earlier, but forgot, then deleted it. I used the 7 elements of art to create the 7 principles of design.

Letterface

The letterface title describes what we did for this project. I could only use letters or numbers to create a self portrait.

Flawed

This I- Friday word troubled me because I had no idea what to do. Then I got the idea that a bike with square tires would be a flaw, so I went with it.
