IF: Poise

This week's Illustration Friday word was poise. Whenever Michael Jordan had the ball down at the end, he was poised to make it.

Typography

For this project, we were given a letter and had to pick a word that we didn't know and create our own font for the word. My letter was "j" and I chose Jojoba, which means a shrub or small tree. The top one is my italicized version. The second one is short and the same size throughout, like the definition. The last one I did because tree's trunks get skinnier as they get taller.

IF: Subtract

This week's Illustration Friday word was subtract and if you cut off a piece of cake, its subtracting the amount.

IF: Legendary

This week's word was Legendary, and Batman and Robin fit the word rather well.

IF: Intricate

This week's I-Friday word was intricate, which means complex or difficult to analyze. A spider's web is very complex and INTRICATE.

IF: BREEZY

This week's I Friday word was breezy. In this picture, a famous person's wig flies off from the breeze.

Pen Face Portrait

This was a time consuming project, but it was worth it. First, I took the picture from PhotoBooth. Then I used the pentool and brush to create the outline. I put a variety of different textures in for the backgrounds and put the colors over the texture.

Instinct

This week's Illustration Friday word was instinct. When your in the wild and you come face to face with a bear, the smart thing to do is not move, but your instinct is to run away.

CityScape: Type

I picked the St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland for the CityScape project.

Celebrate

This week's Illustration Friday word is Celebrate. Back in elementary school at Stony Brook, the walls were painted with different races joining hands and celebrating. That's what the photo represents.

Time

The Illustration Friday word for this week was time. When I thought of time, I thought of being timed for something. Here is a manual picture of the 100 meter dash of the last Olympics when Usain Bolt broke the world record.

Digital Elements and Principles of Design

This is the digitalized version of my first webpost and project. I should have posted this earlier, but forgot, then deleted it. I used the 7 elements of art to create the 7 principles of design.

Letterface

The letterface title describes what we did for this project. I could only use letters or numbers to create a self portrait.

Flawed

This I- Friday word troubled me because I had no idea what to do. Then I got the idea that a bike with square tires would be a flaw, so I went with it.

Music Illustration

For this project, we had to pick a song and create a music illustration. The song I picked was "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey.

Climbing The Ladder Of Success

For this project on Illustration Friday, the word was climbing. So for my work I showed someone climbing the ladder of success and what it takes to get there.
